Photographer Yana Zyryanova from Snezhinsk won the prestigious Russian Photo Awards-2025 competition. Her work «Chicks» was named the best in the «Children»s Staged Photography« category, as reported by the award»s organizing committee.

The Russian Photo Awards are often compared to the Oscars for photographers. In 2025, 13,814 entries were submitted to the competition and evaluated in 27 categories. A jury of 60 expert photographers determined the winners.
The photographer completed his «Quiet Forms» series in the spring, which was part of the selection.

Another representative from the Chelyabinsk region, Igor Ushakov, also achieved success. His photographs made it into the top 100 of the spring selection series and were exhibited at the «Photo of the Year» exhibition in St. Petersburg.
Ushakov«s compositions include subtle references to renowned artists like Kazimir Malevich and René Magritte.
