Zabaikalsky teens assault pensioner and youth after drinking

Two residents of the Tungiro-Olyokminsky District contacted the police with a complaint about schoolchildren who beat them up during an argument, reported Chita.Ru on February 2 from the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Zabaikalsky Krai.

«Police officers found out that the day before, men born in 1955 and 2005 were drinking alcohol together with 17-year-old schoolchildren. An argument broke out between them, during which the minors inflicted beatings. Regarding this fact, an investigation is being conducted, and a forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the severity of the harm caused to health,» according to the statement.

A decision on initiating a case or refusing to do so will be made after receiving the examination results.

According to the Ministry of Health of Zabaikalsky Krai, one of the victims is in satisfactory condition, the second in moderate condition.

«In addition, the legal representatives of the minors have been held administratively liable for improper upbringing. The incident will also be reviewed by the prevention system authorities,» clarified the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Ministry of Education of Zabaikalsky Krai in its Telegram channel reported that an on-site inspection by the regional commission for minors« affairs will be sent to the district. According to a preliminary version, two 11th-grade students there participated in »a conflict involving physical force.«
