In Yekaterinburg, the court sent a young mother from Yelani to custody for six months for strangling her two-month-old daughter. The investigation will continue during this time.

The husband asked the judge to hear the case without him. Only his lawyer will be present at the hearings, so Anastasia asked for forgiveness from her husband Danil. She struggled to speak the words, barely holding back tears.

“Danil, I would like to ask for forgiveness for what… for what happened,” said Anastasia.

The defendant offered an emotional apology that cannot reverse the child«s death.

Danil filed divorce papers, two weeks ago the court made a positive decision, but it has not yet taken effect.

The young mother had a difficult childbirth, after the birth of her daughter Anastasia was admitted to the infectious diseases ward, and her sister cared for the child. When the young mother was discharged, she behaved strangely — she was depressed and nervous. While rocking the child in her arms, she began to shake her daughter.

The tragedy occurred on 25 June 2025. On that day, the two-month-old girl cried a lot, and Anastasia was angry because she could not calm her daughter. Danil was at home, but soon left for work, and then received an SMS from his wife with the words: “I threw the baby on the sofa, I am a terrible mother, forgive me and goodbye.” The serviceman immediately rushed home from work, called an ambulance and the police, but they could not save the child.

After the murder, Anastasia fled to the bus station. All this time she was writing messages to her husband — he persuaded her to surrender to the authorities.

After the tragedy, we went to Yelani and spoke with the family’s neighbors. All news on this topic is collected in a special section.
