The Voronezh Regional Court has kept in custody a married couple accused of attempted murder by prior conspiracy (Part 3 of Article 30, Paragraph «g» of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was reported by the unified press service of the region’s courts.

According to the investigation, in March 2025 the accused were in the victim’s apartment, with whom they had a grudge, and decided to kill him. The woman took a kitchen knife and struck the victim at least three times in the chest, head, and arms, while her husband held the victim, preventing him from defending himself. However, they failed to kill the man — the victim’s mother, who was present in the apartment, said she would call the police.

In appeals, lawyers asked to change the preventive measure to a lighter one not involving detention. However, the court found no grounds for this. According to the appellate instance, the accused could obstruct the criminal proceedings, and a lighter preventive measure would not guarantee their proper behavior.

Recall that earlier, the suspect in the murder of a Voronezh resident on Olimpiysky Boulevard was detained in Lipetsk. The suspect had a prior criminal record. See what the murder scene looked like a day later in our report.
