Ural Major Avoids Trial for Statutory Rape by Joining Military
The former security officer has a wife and child.
Former head of the forensic expert group of the Alapaevsk Interior Ministry, Mikhail K., accused of sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl (Part 1, Article 134 of the Russian Criminal Code), avoided trial and sentencing by leaving for the special military operation. This was reported to E1.RU by lawyer Sergei Samkov, representing the victim«s interests.
«At present, the criminal case is suspended because he signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense and left for the front,» Samkov noted.
According to him, Mikhail had previously been dismissed from law enforcement for negative reasons.
Police Major Mikhail K. became involved in a scandal last year. He had sex with the schoolgirl for six months, and she became pregnant. When the parents learned of this, they filed a complaint against the retired officer. The family tried to bring him to criminal responsibility, but they were refused to open a case.
Sergei Samkov claimed that during the pre-investigation check, the suspect began writing to the girl asking her to lie during interrogation — allegedly she had deceived him about her age. He also asked the girl to delete compromising correspondence from her mother«s phone. In messages, the major told the victim that »the entire department knows and is deciding how to get out of this situation.« After that, the lawyer publicized the story — only then was the policeman dismissed.
«He knew for certain that the victim was under 16. He met the suspect when, in violation of restrictions and prohibitions established by Russian legislation for law enforcement officers, he was engaged in private transportation — working as a taxi driver,» Sergei Samkov told E1.RU.
