The court of the Central District of Kemerovo has remanded in custody a man who was preparing a terror attack on railway tracks on the orders of Ukraine. Until last summer, he lived in Poland, according to several news agencies citing the Center for Public Relations of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).

«A Russian citizen has been detained, involved in preparing sabotage on the railway on the orders of Ukrainian special services, as well as transferring information about the region»s transport infrastructure facilities to the enemy,« reports the center.

The agency notes that the 39-year-old man lived in Poland for three years, where he was recruited by Ukrainian special services. From there, he arrived in Kuzbass, where he planned to carry out terror attacks. After that, he wanted to go to the European Union and obtain political asylum there.

A case has been opened against Konstantin G. under the article «preparation for sabotage,» he faces up to 20 years in a penal colony. For the period of the investigation, he has been sent to a pre-trial detention center (SIZO), where he will remain at least until March 8.

At the end of December, NGS42 reported that in Kuzbass, a teenager was detained who, on the orders of Ukraine, was also preparing a terror attack.
