Two Wounded in Restaurant Shooting, Suspect Remanded

A man who fired a traumatic pistol and wounded two people near the Magadan restaurant has been sent to pre-trial detention for two months, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Rostov Region (MVD) reported.
The shooter«s pistol and the car he used to flee the scene were seized.
Earlier, investigators from the Rostov police opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 213 «Hooliganism». The car was impounded.
«The car has been impounded because the sanctions of the article provide for an additional punishment in the form of a fine of up to 1 million rubles (approximately $11,100) or the offender»s income for a period of up to 4 years,« the police explained.
On the night of July 19, a conflict began between two visitors to Magadan. One of them is 32 years old, the other 34. Outside the restaurant, the men started shooting with traumatic pistols — both had permits for the weapons. One of the shooters and a security guard at Magadan were injured.
