A verdict was handed down in the Tula region against a group of five people for organizing illegal migration, the press service of the regional prosecutor«s office reported.

Five individuals aged 22 to 63 were convicted. They were employees of outsourcing companies that recruit staff.

The investigation established that from May 1, 2023, to September 17, 2024, the criminals found 30 migrants to work at enterprises in the Tula region and purchased fake patents to import labor. Using these patents, the migrants arrived in the region and worked, though they did not actually have the right to do so.

Of the five, four received prison sentences of between two and two years and six months in a general-regime colony.

A woman who was part of the group received a suspended sentence of one year and nine months, with a probation period of one and a half years.

The criminals also had their cars — a BMW, a Mitsubishi Lancer — as well as more than 1.3 million rubles ($13,700 at current rates), a flash drive, a laptop, and a mobile phone confiscated in favor of the state.
