Traffic Accidents and Dog Bites Top Children's Compensation Cases in Ryazan

In 2025, over 3.7 million rubles (approximately $41,100 at current rates) were recovered from guilty parties in favor of minors in Ryazan Region. This amount was for 14 children. The press service of the regional prosecutor«s office told YA62.RU why compensations had to be sought.

Here are the main reasons:

Traffic accidents.

Dog bites.

Damage from crimes (we cannot disclose them, but they are serious — Ed.).

The largest amount was recovered in favor of a 17-year-old boy. At the suit of the prosecutor of the Mikhailovsky District, he was compensated for moral damage from a traffic accident — one million rubles (approximately $11,100 at current rates).

At the same time, crimes against children are regularly evolving, and preventive conversations are held with schoolchildren.
