Teen accused of stabbing mother of three in Urals

In Sverdlovsk Oblast, 15-year-old teenager Anton (name changed — Ed.) has been charged with murder. According to preliminary data, on January 6, the schoolboy from Gornouralsk stabbed 47-year-old Natalia Kiryanova in the entrance of an apartment building. The woman died in the hospital several days later. The accused was placed under house arrest, but he removed his bracelet and hid for five days. On the evening of January 19, security forces detained the boy. Tips about his location were provided by his acquaintances — the boy on the run came to celebrate a friend«s birthday in an apartment.

While still under house arrest, Anton was not disheartened, and friends visited him. The teenagers posted social media stories online. In a short video, one of the boys received a call, and Anton asked him not to say where he was.

What is known about the accused murderer?

In the town, 15-year-old Anton is known to everyone; he is a notorious local hooligan. It is said that he has repeatedly started fights and slashed car tires. His family is described as dysfunctional. The boy has been a poor student since elementary school and has provoked conflicts with classmates. Anton«s mother died, his father remarried, and the boy lived with his father and stepmother.

«Neither the father nor his wife were interested in upbringing. Both are drinkers, there were regular beatings in the family, the boy even stood up for his stepmother when the father raised his hand. The child himself got failing grades, was held back a year. Last year, he was sent to a Chelyabinsk personality correction center, and his father officially transferred him to home schooling. But the boy also ran away from this center. At the same time, Anton has clear leadership qualities; he led many kids astray, they started skipping school and drinking. Some boys, especially those a couple of years younger, hang on his every word. He clearly had influence on those around him,» says a local resident familiar with the family.

While Anton was on the run, residents were afraid to go outside.

«Of course, it«s scary. You go to work — it»s dark, from work — also. You see, a woman entered the entrance and didn«t make it to her apartment. And there was no motive. We were afraid of running into him ourselves, and it was scary to let the children go to school,» explained Tatyana, a resident of Gornouralsk.

Earlier we reported how the teenager was detained and what is known about this incident. The deceased Natalia left behind three children — the youngest daughter is a minor.

The Investigative Committee of Russia reported that the teenager has already been charged. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder). Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed the head of the Sverdlovsk Investigative Committee to report on the progress of the criminal investigation.
