Sverdlovsk man gets prison for sex with tased teen
In Revda (Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia), 33-year-old Mikhail was sent to a penal colony for the rape of a minor. In court, the victim stated that she was forced to write a statement against the man under threat of a stun gun. The convict’s relatives believe that his former business partner may be involved. We share the details of this criminal case.
«On 27 October 2025, I came home and my husband wasn’t there. I asked my older son where he was, and he said: “Some men came, he left with them, that’s all.” I called Misha, but he didn’t answer. Closer to night, he called back and said he had been detained. It turned out that during the day, detectives arrived in two cars and took him to the station,» E1.RU was told by Irina, Mikhail’s wife (all names of the heroes have been changed. — Editor’s note).
It turned out that a criminal case had been opened against the man on two counts of rape (Paragraph ‘a’ of Part 3 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court sent him to pretrial detention center No. 1 of Yekaterinburg.
Background
Irina met Mikhail in 2020. A year later, the couple got married, and in 2022 they had a son (Irina also has an older son from her first marriage).
«At some point, Misha met a guy, and they became friends. He suggested that my husband go into business together. First they started a construction company, but it didn’t work out. Then they took up a hookah lounge. Later, Misha joined the Russkaya Obshchina (a Russian nationalist community), where he met a 17-year-old girl. My husband started disappearing often for work, going on raids with the community, and spending little time with his family. On this basis, we started arguing more often,» Irina shared.
The crisis in the relationship grew, and the couple decided to separate. At that moment, as Irina later learned, Mikhail had sexual contact with the minor.
«Then he got another job, we got back together, and things started to improve at home. My husband said that he and his friend had started having disagreements. On 24 October 2025, Misha literally wrote to me: “It looks like we will start a war with him. Something wrong is going on.” And on the 27th, he was detained,» Irina said.
«In court she told the truth»
In pretrial detention center No. 1, Mikhail confessed to his wife that he had slept with another woman. He stated that everything was consensual. Irina believed him.
«According to him, there was no violence. I replied that we would sort it out now. Already in court, it turned out that this girl was forced to write a statement under pressure. In court, she told the whole truth: that she was beaten with a stun gun, forced to falsely incriminate him. Also, this former friend of Misha was summoned to court, he appeared as a witness. My husband said that in court he gave completely different testimony.
The husband believes that the witness was previously acquainted with the investigator who handled the case. The investigator was also interrogated in court; Misha asked him whether he knew his former friend. He said he saw him for the first time. The girl who was recognized as the victim did not file any claim for moral compensation,» the convict’s wife noted.
On 25 June, the Revda City Court sentenced the man to 8.5 years in a strict regime penal colony, the joint press service of the courts of Sverdlovsk Oblast confirmed to E1.RU. Mikhail filed an appeal; he does not admit his guilt.
«They charged two counts of rape. Allegedly it all happened in September 2025, but the statement appeared only a month later. I was also puzzled that the girl wrote two statements ten days apart. If something bad happened to you, why would you go back to that person? That’s strange. In court, the “victim” said that it was this former friend of Misha who forced her to go to the police,» our interlocutor concluded.
The convict has now changed lawyers. He hopes for the acquittal verdict to be overturned. The editors of E1.RU have contacted the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Sverdlovsk Oblast. The response will be published as soon as it is received.
