Stavropol man caught with drugs, gun, fake plates

Traffic police stopped the man and found drugs in his car.
Another drug trafficking attempt was recorded in Stavropol Krai. However, this time it turned out that, in addition to banned substances, the man had a gun, several phones, and fake license plates.
The car contained drugs, a gun, and fake license plates.
The Anti-Drug Commission of Stavropol Krai reported that the day before, traffic police officers stopped a 29-year-old local resident. He was driving a tinted car around the city. Such a meeting with law enforcement ended badly for him, because during a search of the vehicle, they found more than a kilogram of drugs, a deactivated pistol with cartridges, three phones, and several sets of license plates.
Later, a search was also conducted at the Stavropol resident«s home. There, they found electronic scales, packaging materials, and magnets, which were presumably used for hiding drug stashes.
A criminal case was opened against the man. The exact article is not specified, but under Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal production, sale, or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogues), he faces up to 20 years in prison. Currently, the Stavropol resident has been taken into custody by a court order. The investigation continues.
Let us recall that in November 2025, a 16-year-old young man and his 15-year-old friend tried to sell drugs using stashes in Budyonnovsk. However, the business plan failed because law enforcement detained both. The first faces criminal punishment, while the teenager who has not yet turned 16 (the age of criminal responsibility under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was placed on preventive registration.
