Investigators from the Voronezh department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SKR) are preparing to charge six men, aged 19 to 31, with kidnapping minors and extortion. According to the investigation, on the evening of December 19, 2025, a gang forcibly took two teenagers from an area near the «Voronezh Market» shopping center on Moskovsky Prospect. The children were taken to the «Admiral» country club and forced to hand over money. The SKR reported that this occurred from 8 p.m. to midnight. Then, until 04:15 a.m. on December 20, the gangsters withdrew money from the teenagers« bank cards. As a result, one lost 30,000 rubles (about $300), and the other 150,000 rubles (about $1,500). After that, the children were released.
As reported by the Investigative Committee, all six attackers were detained with the assistance of police and National Guard troops. At the request of investigators, the Leninsky District Court sent them to a pre-trial detention center (SIZO). Each faces up to 12 years in a penal colony.
— In the criminal case, the investigator has conducted necessary inspections, the minors have been recognized as victims and questioned. Witnesses have also been questioned, and a set of necessary forensic examinations has been appointed, — clarified the Voronezh SKR.
