Revda Thug Cherkas: Known for Violence
A repeat offender who beat a serviceman in Revda has been detained.

“Don’t find out. He’s a dangerous man. Don’t mess with him,” a local resident replies.
The Revda hooligan who beat a veteran of the Special Military Operation, Alexey, with his own crutch has been identified as 37-year-old repeat offender Anton Cherkasov, nicknamed Cherkas. Here is what else is known about him.
Anton has been convicted of hooliganism, assault, inflicting moderate and light bodily harm, robbery, a traffic violation that caused grievous bodily harm, and leaving a person in danger. We will describe the latter in more detail.
“He ran over a man, threw him into the trunk, breaking his legs in the process, took him out to some quarry and left him there. But the man didn’t die — he was able to crawl out and call for help. In general, Cherkas was very active about 15 years ago, before his sentence. Rumor has it he was part of the fighting squad of Revda crime boss Nikolai Smovzh (deceased) and for a time was close to businessman Alexander Gorbunov (wanted); he himself has leadership qualities. In Revda they feared him and tried not to cross his path unnecessarily; he has authority in street circles,” an informed source told E1.RU.
According to the source, Cherkas is not officially employed and lives with his girlfriend.
“He’s the kind of person for whom hitting or insulting someone is like drinking water. If he’s locked up, many will breathe a sigh of relief,” our source explained.
Anton has now been detained and charged with hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation); he faces up to 7 years in a penal colony.
We published a video of the conflict, in which the attacker first insults and humiliates the veteran, promises to rape and urinate on him, and then hits him several times with his hands, feet, and a crutch. He then forces the beaten man to apologize.
The conflict itself began over a girl. Alexey asked Anton not to harass her, and this enraged the Revda hooligan.
