Repeat Offender Arrested for Theft of Expensive Alcohol

Police received a report from a representative of a supermarket in the city center that two expensive bottles of alcohol had been stolen from the store.
Staff saw a man put two bottles under his clothes in the sales area. When he approached the checkout, they demanded he pay. In response, the man threatened them, saying he would kill anyone who tried to stop him. He left with the alcohol. Investigators identified the thief from the staff«s description.
He turned out to be a 24-year-old Ryazan resident previously convicted of theft. He told police that because of the cold, he wanted to warm up with some exotic alcoholic drink but had no money for expensive liquor, so he decided to steal it. He drank the bottles alone at home. He now faces up to 4 years in prison.
