Owner of sauna where five teens died sent to jail
Restrictive measures have been chosen for the owner and administrator of a private sauna where a fire on January 31 claimed the lives of five teenagers. A group of schoolchildren and students had gathered to celebrate three friends« birthdays, but the evening ended in tragedy.
In the midst of the evening, a fire broke out in the two-story building, and only one 16-year-old visitor managed to escape. The other teenagers were unable to leave the sauna. Rescuers spent an hour extinguishing the fire at the illegal recreation area, which, according to investigators, lacked fire extinguishers and accessible emergency exits.
The first to be detained was the administrator of the establishment, who allowed the teenagers into the venue without supervision and, according to investigators, whose actions with the stove heating might have caused the fire. Soon, two co-owners of the sauna were found.
What decision the court made during the proceedings and the details of what happened are in the video above.
