The crime occurred at the end of September and was captured on surveillance cameras. The footage shows the man from Orsk, wearing a ridiculous black mask, walking unsteadily into the store on Stanislavsky Street and, despite the saleswoman«s outrage, taking 3,602 rubles (about $36 at current rates) while threatening her with a knife.

The police had no trouble identifying the robber. Already at the station, the man from Orsk was shocked at himself and admitted that he did not remember any details of the robbery because he had been on a five-day drinking binge. He was then placed under house arrest, and now he has heard a very grim verdict: the criminal case under Part 2 of Article 162 of the Russian Criminal Code left him no chance of avoiding prison time.

For the next three years, the Orsk resident must serve time in a general regime correctional colony, plus after release he will be under supervision for 10 months. After the verdict was announced, the man was taken into custody right in the courtroom. However, the decision has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
