Official punished for illegally raising his salary sevenfold

The director of a municipal enterprise in the Konoshsky district has been found guilty of corruption. He illegally increased his salary sevenfold.
Editorial sources at 29.RU report the case involves 50-year-old Sergey Glushkov, head of the municipal unitary enterprise «Chistaya Voda» (Clean Water).
«The court established that the convicted individual, from March to November 2024, used his official position to illegally issue and sign an order increasing his official salary more than sevenfold without coordinating with the enterprise»s founder, the administration of the municipal formation «Konoshskoye»,« the prosecutor»s office stated.
He used the money at his own discretion. The damage to the enterprise was estimated at over 700,000 rubles (about $7,800 at current rates). The former director of the municipal enterprise committed these acts against the backdrop of the enterprise«s unprofitability and existing accounts payable.
Glushkov was found guilty under Part 3 of Article 160 of the Russian Criminal Code (embezzlement of enterprise funds on a large scale).
Glushkov partially admitted his guilt. The court sentenced him to 2 years in prison, which was replaced by 2 years of forced labor with 10% of his income withheld for the state.
