Novosibirsk mall owner faces court over building collapse

Sergei Turkov, the owner of a shopping center that collapsed on January 21, has been brought to the Pervomaisky District Court of Novosibirsk. Today, January 23, a pre-trial restriction measure will be chosen for the businessman.

Sergei Turkov is accused under points a and v of part 2 of article 238 of the Russian Criminal Code for providing services that do not meet safety requirements and resulted in a person«s death. During the roof collapse, two women were injured and one man died.
