A resident of Krasnoyarsk, together with an accomplice, sold an ordinary expectorant to a police buyer under the guise of a narcotic and received three thousand rubles ($30) for it. The money belonged to the police, and the purchase was a test, so the man was apprehended immediately on the spot. This was reported by the press service of the regional courts.

The case was heard by the Kirovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk. The resident was charged with attempted fraud committed in collusion with an accomplice.

As the court reported, the buyer was a person assisting the police in a test purchase. The man did not manage to complete the crime because he was arrested immediately after the money was in his hands. This is why the crime was classified as an attempt rather than completed fraud.

Ultimately, the man received a suspended sentence of two years with a probation period of three years. The verdict has not yet taken effect.

Earlier, NGS24.RU reported that two former operatives of the Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Department were convicted of bribery — the story began with a barbecue at a bachelor party and ended with receiving a million rubles ($10,000 at current rates).
