Jealousy murder suspect arrested in Yaroslavl region

In Rybinsk, a suspect was detained in the murder of a 32-year-old driver.

«According to the investigation, on January 21 in the evening, the suspect, being near one of the houses on Lenin Avenue in Rybinsk during a conflict arising from jealousy, inflicted several knife wounds on the 32-year-old victim. The victim died at the scene from the injuries sustained,» reported the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Yaroslavl region.

At the time of the crime, the victim was in the driver«s seat of a parked foreign-made car. The attacker stabbed him in the chest and neck and fled the scene. However, he was apprehended.

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Yaroslavl region published a video of the suspect«s confession.

«After work, he came, got into the car. And such an action happened from my side,» the detainee said.

As a source from 76.RU reported, there is a version that the woman, because of whom the conflict arose, was cohabiting with one of the men and at the same time had relations with both.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the man under Part 1, Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder). An investigation is underway, and all circumstances of the incident are being clarified. A number of forensic examinations have been appointed in the case.

The person involved in the criminal case will be charged in the near future, and a petition will be sent to the court to choose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention.

Earlier, the incident was discussed on social media. Residents of Rybinsk said that the deceased man was walking from work, approached his parked car, got in, and at that moment he was attacked. Soon after receiving the wounds, he died.
