Gang Robs Nizhny Novgorod Home, Steals Odd Items
One of the perpetrators died during the investigation and will not be held accountable for the robbery.
Three men have been detained in Nizhny Novgorod for robbing a home. They broke into a woman«s residence and stole not only valuables but also, for some reason, a leather jacket and a toy gun. Details were provided by the regional MVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs).
The incident occurred in early January of this year, but the police only reported it now. The gang of raiders arrived at a private home in the village of Novoye Doskino (Nizhny Novgorod Oblast) with the intent to rob. The men had planned everything and prepared: they brought along a flare gun and an air rifle.
They distracted the homeowner by firing a flare gun at the windows. While she ran to the noise, the robbers entered the house.
They took money and gold jewelry from the home. Additionally, the bandits also took a leather jacket and a toy gun in a holster. The Nizhny Novgorod woman estimated the total damage at 250,000 rubles ($2,500 at current rates).
The gang was quickly tracked down, and all were arrested. However, one of the men died during the investigation. The others will face legal consequences for theft with illegal entry into a home and open theft.
