A 46-year-old man wanted for a series of thefts was arrested near Ryazan after causing a disturbance at a funeral. He had traveled from the Tambov region to attend a relative's burial.

Police in the Shatsky District of the Ryazan Region detained a 46-year-old man from Morshansk, who had been placed on the federal wanted list for a series of thefts in the Tambov Region. The arrest occurred after a funeral, the regional police department reported.
According to preliminary information, the Tambov native had been hiding from law enforcement and planned to change his place of residence. At the same time, he learned of the death of a relative who lived in the village of Lesnaya Polyana and went to the funeral. There, he drank too much alcohol and after the wake decided to socialize with the residents of a neighboring house, but they did not like the intoxicated guest.
The neighbors, according to the police, hinted that it was late and the conversation could be postponed. In response, the Morshansk resident caused a scene — to calm him down, the locals called the police.
Thus, the troublemaker was detained, and police discovered he was on the wanted list.
The Tambov Region resident was handed over to those who initiated the search in the Tambov Region.
