Ivan Rytov, who previously served as acting director of Yaroslavl ATP, has been detained by investigators. A criminal case has been opened under paragraph «e» of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Russian Criminal Code — abuse of office for personal gain or other personal interest.
According to investigators, from April to early July 2026, Rytov unlawfully instructed subordinates to prepare memos for the payment of bonuses and incentives.
The Investigative Committee for the Yaroslavl Region reported that based on these documents, he issued orders for employee rewards, violating the established procedure and without obtaining approval from the board of directors.
As a result, at least 750,000 rubles (approximately $8,200 USD) were paid out in bonuses and rewards. After receiving these funds, employees withdrew them from their accounts and handed them to Rytov.
«The suspect has been detained. In the near future, investigators intend to petition the court for a preventive measure. Investigative actions are currently ongoing to establish all the circumstances,» the agency reported.
The maximum penalty under this article is up to 10 years in prison if the guilt of the former head of Yaroslavl ATP is proven in court.
Earlier, the detention of Ivan Rytov was reported by the Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, Mikhail Evraev. During a check conducted by the authorities, a scheme for obtaining money was identified.
Ivan Rytov held the position of acting general director of Yaroslavl ATP for just over three months.
