Fatal beating suspect remanded in Voronezh's Otradnoye

A court has remanded in custody a participant in the deadly brawl in the Novoye Otradnoye residential complex. A 37-year-old resident of Novousmansky District is suspected of causing grievous bodily harm resulting in death by negligence (Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the Voronezh Region.

On June 30, a conflict broke out between two men in the courtyard of one of the houses in the Novoye Otradnoye residential complex. The suspect punched the victim in the face several times. The man fell, hitting his head on the pavement, and later died in the hospital from the injury.

The court sent the suspect into custody for 2 months — until September 12 inclusive. The court order has already entered into force.
