Employees of a District Hospital in Arkhangelsk Region Accused of Fraud

Two former employees of a medical institution in Plesetsky District — a paramedic and a human resources employee — have been accused of fraud and official forgery. According to a 29.RU source, the individuals are employees of the Plesetskaya Central District Hospital.

According to the Investigative Committee of the Arkhangelsk Region, the crime was committed in 2024, when one of the accused was on unpaid leave.

«The HR employee developed a selfish intent to steal funds in the form of temporary disability benefits. She asked a paramedic to remotely issue a fraudulent sick leave certificate in her name. Thus, the accused unreasonably received compensation from the social insurance fund,» the committee«s statement said.

During interrogations, the accused admitted their guilt. The damage caused was compensated at the stage of the criminal investigation.
