Dom-2 Star Sentenced for Scamming Lover with Fake Daughter
In Yekaterinburg, Dom-2 star Yana Makarova (Shevtsova) was found guilty of fraud on a particularly large scale. For over a year, she extorted money for a non-existent child from a married lover. According to a source from E1.RU, they met on a website for escorts.
As reported by the Sverdlovsk region prosecutor«s office, the businessman transferred 23.4 million rubles (about $234,000 at current rates) to Yana. The money was claimed for pregnancy, childbirth, and an operation for her «daughter.» The man did not doubt the child»s existence: Yana sent him photos of a child downloaded from the internet.
By the court«s decision, Yana must return the millions to the entrepreneur. Additionally, the court sentenced the guilty party to five years in a general regime correctional colony with a deferment—until her child reaches the age of 14 (Yana has a real daughter from her first marriage, who is now four years old).
The victim«s representative, lawyer Sergei Kolosovsky, in a conversation with E1.RU noted that until Yana started blackmailing the child»s «father,» he had no idea he was being deceived.
«If it weren«t for the girl»s greed, she could have kept this up for a long time. When she told the man she was pregnant, she sent all sorts of certificates about her difficult pregnancy, and there were no doubts about her honesty. The man didn«t want to get attached to her and the child, but he conscientiously paid for support, covered everything she wanted.
Pregnancy care, complicated childbirth in Moscow, an operation for the child in Germany—he gave money. Improving living conditions—no problem, 13 million rubles (about $130,000 at current rates) for an apartment. He fulfilled all her whims. He didn»t want any meetings with the child because he didn«t want to get attached,» Kolosovsky explained.
Yana was undone when she started making scenes, blackmailing Alexey, threatening to tell his wife everything, and eventually went to the media. For a publication about how the businessman broke Yana«s heart and abandoned her with a child, she provided a birth certificate for the non-existent baby. After that, Alexey went to the police.
«Until the moment we applied, we thought the child existed. Everything looked so plausible, you just can»t lie like that. Later we learned that the girl is a graduate of a correctional school. Accordingly, she doesn«t control the consequences of her words, she lies confidently. She has already caused scandals in other regions: wrote statements about rapes, accused a taxi driver of theft, took a camera from an ex-boyfriend and also filed a report against him. It»s especially gratifying that only in Yekaterinburg they finally managed to put an end to her escapades,» the victim«s representative added.
The lawyer added that overall, the defense is satisfied with the verdict. The deferment given to Yana was expected. In 10 years, when Yana«s daughter (the existing one) turns 14, the court will hold another hearing and decide whether she needs to actually serve the sentence. To avoid going to prison, over these 10 years Yana must prove her rehabilitation.
«For this, Yana must compensate for the damage, stop doing what she was doing before, and generally not get into any more foolish situations. This is quite difficult, but possible, we believe in you, Yana! If she doesn»t file an appeal, we won«t either, so as not to worsen her situation.
Although there are grounds for appeal, in principle, because the criterion for exemption from punishment until the child reaches a certain age is proper parental care by the convicted person. And in this case, there»s a big question whether the girl, who engaged in prostitution, according to media reports and case materials, is raising the child properly. And whether the deferment from serving the sentence is justified here,» Kolosovsky concluded.
A source from E1.RU, connected with law enforcement agencies, told the details of the case. It turned out that Yana never admitted guilt.
«There was no evidence of innocence, but Yana claimed that the money her lover gave her were gifts. According to her, she didn«t tell Alexey she was pregnant or that millions were needed for a child. And as for later when she went to the media and stated there that she gave birth to the businessman»s daughter, he sponsors them, provided a fake birth certificate—here she needs to be understood and forgiven: she was offended and wanted revenge. She never admitted her guilt in the fraud with the fake child,» the source reported.
Numerous witnesses spoke at the hearings. Among them—an E1.RU journalist, to whom Yana provided the forged birth certificate for the non-existent child. Also, another former lover—also a businessman—testified in court. He said that Yana told him too that she was allegedly pregnant by him.
«Shevtsova has cameras all over her apartment, she said it was necessary to monitor the nanny and child. But at the hearing, Yana«s friend testified, saying that Yana recorded what happened in her own bedroom, including when lovers and clients came to her. The girl kept these intimate videos and showed them to friends,» the E1.RU source added.
Recall that in 2018, Yana gained fame by announcing a relationship with rapper Guf. After that, she was invited to the project «Dom-2». A year later, the girl married a financier, then had a child, but after some time the relationship broke down.
