A child examined at a clinic in Chelyabinsk (Russia) received all necessary medical care, said the doctor who conducted the appointment.
The specialist, who wished to remain anonymous, clarified that the mother of the young patient was nearby during the consultation. «The mother was present during the child«s examination, saw everything, and heard everything. I asked her about the medical history and possible allergic reactions. The assistance was provided fully in accordance with recommendations and legal acts in healthcare,» the doctor said. He also reported that a few days later a doctor visited the child, and his condition improved.
The doctor confirmed that he met with the child«s father at the Investigative Committee (SK, Russia»s federal investigative body), where they exchanged apologies. The man told him, «Sorry, brother.»
«I believe it is not within my right to accuse someone of something or deprive them of their freedom. As I was explained, this man might be imprisoned. In this whole situation, I felt sorry for the child, and I do not want to leave the child without a father. Because I know what that is like,» the doctor explained. He added that he apologized to the father only for the possible consequences — loss of freedom or citizenship — but emphasized that it was an impulse, not an obligation.
The medic stated that there was nothing illegal in his actions. «There was no rudeness or anything like that. I still cannot understand why this [aggressive behavior of the father] happened. The man did not explain it to me either,» he noted.
Recall that the incident occurred after the doctor examined the child, and his father caused a scandal. A video with obscene language quickly spread on Telegram channels. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article on hooliganism with the threat of violence. The man was detained and taken to investigative agencies.
Under paragraph «a» of Part 1 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, penalties range from a fine of 300,000 to 500,000 rubles ($3,300 to $5,600 at current rates) to up to five years of imprisonment.
As it became known, the aggressor is a 34-year-old native of Tajikistan, working as a taxi driver and holding dual citizenship. He received a Russian passport three years ago. The court placed him under house arrest for two months. At the hearing, the man stated that he had apologized to the doctor.
