Doctor: 'I don't want to leave child without father'
The conflict occurred over the weekend and drew the attention of law enforcement.
The child whose father threatened a doctor after a clinic appointment received all necessary care. He was examined and given recommendations. The specialist who conducted that appointment spoke about this on Wednesday, February 4. He asked not to be named, but explained that the patient’s mother was present the whole time, and the reason for the father’s aggression is unclear.

«The mother was present during the child’s examination, she saw and heard everything,» the doctor said. «I asked her about the medical history and possible allergic reactions. Full assistance was provided in accordance with recommendations and legal acts in healthcare. A few days later, a doctor also visited their address; the child is already better.»

The clinic employee confirmed that he indeed met the patient’s father at the Investigative Committee, where mutual apologies were made.
«The man apologized to me, verbatim: «Sorry, brother.» At that moment, I had been at the Investigative Committee for two hours, and this whole situation weighed on me. Morally, it’s very difficult; I didn’t know that this man would also be present,» the doctor shared. «I believe it’s not in my right to accuse anyone of anything or deprive them of freedom. As I was told, this man might be jailed. In this whole situation, I felt sorry for the child, and I don’t want to leave the child without a father. Because I know what it’s like. I apologized to the man only because he will face consequences: possible imprisonment, loss of citizenship.»
The doctor stressed it was an impulse, not an obligation.
«I see nothing illegal or unlawful in my actions. There was no rudeness or anything like that,» the specialist emphasized. «I still cannot understand why this [aggressive behavior] happened. The man did not explain it to me either.»
Recall, the enraged father caused a scene with the attending physician after the doctor examined his child. A three-minute video, not five seconds without profanity, spread across Telegram channels. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article on hooliganism with the threat of violence. The man was detained and brought to the Investigative Committee.
Under paragraph «a» of Part 1 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism with the threat of violence), various punishments are provided, from a fine of 300,000 to 500,000 rubles (approximately $3,000 to $5,000 at current exchange rates) to imprisonment for up to five years.
The doctor’s offender turned out to be a 34-year-old native of Tajikistan, holding dual citizenship (Russian obtained three years ago) and working as a taxi driver. Today, the court placed him under house arrest for two months. At the hearing, the accused stated that he apologized to the doctor.
