Diamonds stolen from Tatiana Ustinova's house near Yaroslavl

The theft occurred at the writer«s residence in Vyatskoye village near Yaroslavl.
The house of 57-year-old famous writer Tatiana Ustinova in the village of Vyatskoye, Nekrasovsky District, was robbed near Yaroslavl. This information was confirmed on February 2 by a source from 76.RU.
Tatiana Ustinova is a Russian writer, author of detective novels, screenwriter, translator, and television host. Her most popular books include: «Chronicle of Vile Times», «My General», «The Myth of the Perfect Man», «A Friend for Special Purposes», «One Shadow for Two». For five years, she was a co-host of the show «Hour of Judgment».
According to our source, thieves stole diamonds and other property with a total value of about 10 million rubles (approximately $110,000) from the home of the star of Russian detective fiction.
The Yaroslavl Region branch of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that a criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 158 (theft committed on an especially large scale).
«Police officers are conducting measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident,» clarified the Yaroslavl Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the qualification of the article, an especially large scale is considered to be property value exceeding one million rubles.
The editorial board of 76.RU has requested a comment on the incident from Tatiana Ustinova herself, but has not yet received a response. If the writer wishes to express her position, we will publish it.
Tatiana Ustinova mentioned that she bought a house in Vyatskoye in an interview with journalists from «Rossiyskaya Gazeta» in March 2024. The writer admitted that the village inspired her to create one of her detective novels «Selfie with Fate» (12+). However, in the book, it is called Sokolnichye. Before that, Tatiana and her family had visited Vyatskoye for vacations several times since 2012. For example, in 2017, a creative meeting with the writer was held in the village, dedicated precisely to the story of writing «Selfie with Fate» and the film adaptation of the detective.
