Criminal Boss Arrested for Novosibirsk Nightclub Shooting, Isolated
Law enforcement officers are still investigating the circumstances of the high-profile clashes.

In Novosibirsk, 29-year-old criminal authority Gennady Zavadsky («Gosha») has been arrested, a source familiar with the situation told NGS correspondent. He is named as a probable participant in the shooting at guests of the nightclub «Nebar», as a result of which three people were seriously injured.
«Zavadsky was arrested recently and placed in a pre-trial detention center in a solitary cell,» the interlocutor said.
The incident occurred on the morning of November 22 last year. It is known that at «Nebar», Gennady Zavadsky was relaxing in the company of 34-year-old Ruslan Parov («Ingush»), both had recently been released from places of deprivation of liberty. In the nightclub, they accidentally met an acquaintance, 26-year-old Vladimir Medvedev («Medved»), who had allegedly previously switched his social circle from the «Leninsky» to the «Pervomaysky».
From mutual insults, the opponents quickly moved to physical violence, and then grabbed traumatic weapons. As a result, Vladimir Medvedev and two other people received serious injuries and were hospitalized.
The administration of «Nebar» assured that the security of the establishment quickly reacted to the scuffle, led the conflicting parties outside, where the shooting occurred. Editorial sources continue to insist that the first shots were fired precisely in the nightclub.
The police reported that a criminal case on hooliganism with the use of weapons (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was initiated based on the incident. The NGS editorial board requested an official comment from the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Novosibirsk Region regarding the arrest of one of the participants.
The name of Gennady Zavadsky first resonated loudly in the media in January 2025, when he — the overseer of correctional colony No. 2 — was attacked by another inmate with two knives. The attacker turned out to be the son of the well-known Novosibirsk criminal authority Yuri Ivanin («Zontik»).
NGS correspondents analyzed the identities of the participants in the shooting at guests of «Nebar» and found their connection to participants in a loud conflict in the restaurant of the Grand Autograph hotel, which occurred last summer. Observers characterized the situation as «the Leninsky group is brawling like in the 90s».
