The judicial panel reviewed an appeal against the verdict of the Prikubansky District Court regarding Ibragim Mgoyan, found guilty under Part 1 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (rape with violence).

On the night of May 14, 2025, the man noticed a 19-year-old girl sitting at a public transport stop. He offered her a ride in his car, after which he drove her to a field.
Taking advantage of the girl being drunk, Mgoyan raped her, striking her several times to suppress resistance. His acquaintance watched the events.
Earlier, the district court decided to take into account mitigating circumstances — admission of guilt, no prior criminal record. The court also proposed compensation for damages, but the victim refused the money. He was sentenced to three years of imprisonment suspended with a three-year probation period.
However, the regional court deemed the punishment excessively lenient. Mgoyan was sentenced to three years of imprisonment in a general-regime penal colony. He was taken into custody in the courtroom. The verdict has entered into legal force, the joint press service of the courts of Krasnodar Krai reported on February 5.
