Businessman's missing son found with woman in Krasnoyarsk

The businessman father received messages that the child was kidnapped.
In Krasnoyarsk, 14-year-old Nikolai Kaplia, the son of a local businessman, who was previously allegedly kidnapped by unknown persons to obtain a ransom, has been found. In fact, the teenager was in a rented apartment with his 18-year-old acquaintance from Surgut. Both of them fell under the influence of scammers, writes TASS.
Recall that on the evening of January 22, the 14-year-old boy left home and disappeared. His father, entrepreneur Andrei Kaplia, soon began receiving messages demanding a ransom of 30 million rubles (about $300,000 at current rates) for his son. Allegedly, the teenager was kidnapped. Also, 3 million rubles (about $30,000 at current rates) went missing from the family«s home safe. The businessman was also sent a video where his son asked to do everything the kidnappers demanded. The man doubted the authenticity of the video and asked to speak with the boy, but the unknown persons in the correspondence refused him.
At the same time, a street surveillance camera recorded Nikolai walking down the street accompanied by an unknown girl. A version emerged that he was with 14-year-old Natasha, who went missing in Krasnoyarsk on the same day. But in the evening, the girl independently returned home and said that she was not acquainted with the businessman«s son.
In the end, law enforcement officers found the teenager in a rented apartment. With him was an 18-year-old girl who had come from Surgut. It turned out that there was no kidnapping. The young people fell under the influence of scammers. The boy was persuaded to leave home, taking with him three million rubles (about $30,000 at current rates) from his father«s safe, and the girl was supposed to accompany him. Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the case.
