On the night of November 2–3, 20-year-old Daniel was taken from a house on Krasnolesye Street. Before that, he was beaten on the stairwell, and then his documents and phone were taken away, his fiancée Lydia told E1.RU.

“The wedding was supposed to be on November 14. On the night of November 2–3, men unknown to me broke into our apartment with the groom’s aunt, while a small three-year-old child was sleeping in the apartment. These people introduced themselves as neighbors, saying that we were flooding them. He opened the door, and they twisted him, beat him, tied him up, and then forcibly took him to a car. They threatened me. Neighbors saw how he was being tied up and beaten,” Lydia told us.

According to the Yekaterinburg woman, Daniel’s phone, documents, and personal bag were taken. Then he was taken away — as it later turned out, the guy was delivered to a psychiatric hospital.

“They stuck him in the psych ward. He wrote to his sister from someone else’s phone: ‘I am in the psych ward, help me, get me out of here.’ We tried to get him out from there, nothing worked. We went to the police,” Lydia noted.

Authorities are investigating the claims of kidnapping and the disruption of the couple«s wedding plans.

Lydia added that Daniel’s relative is doing all this out of personal dislike: she doesn’t want the couple to get married.

“They think that I am feeding him psychotropic substances. Although he doesn’t drink, smoke, or use anything. The groom stopped communicating with his entire family. He is on good terms only with his cousin and sister. We returned the rings that his mother gave. After that, rumors started spreading that I am pregnant, [getting married] to be a burden on him. But that’s not true, I work. Before that, I worked in dentistry, but they told me that because of the child, frequent sick leaves, it doesn’t suit them. I found a remote job,” our interlocutor added.

When Lydia with her parents came to the hospital to pick up Daniel, they informed the groom’s relative that they would file a report with the police. After that, the guy was taken from the hospital and driven away in an unknown direction.

E1.RU correspondent managed to contact Daniel’s aunt. She suggested discussing what is happening later:

“Let’s talk about this in two days, when the blood test results are in. The tests should show that this lady, who contacted you, was giving him unclear injections, feeding him psychotropic pills. This lady forbade him to communicate with all relatives. They are blocked from him.”

When the correspondent in the conversation noted that the relative is accused of kidnapping, she did not agree with that.

“Great, let her claim [that it’s kidnapping]. They are in a sect in Asbest, they go to the sect every Sunday. They call it ‘The Community’. They read the Bible, right?” added Daniel’s aunt.

The bride noted that her parents go to a Protestant church, but Daniel did not come there.

“He is ready to testify against his relatives, he is ready to file a report and have his injuries documented, he asks to be taken away,” Lydia noted.

Lydia’s words in a conversation with E1.RU were confirmed by Daniel’s sister, Alena.

“He made a mistake by trusting them. Thinking that they would support his choice. I think alcohol influenced it very much. The aunt drinks. After all, a person under the influence of alcohol starts to degrade,” Alena noted.

Alena added that previously, they tried to deprive the aunt of parental rights: her daughter went to a school psychologist, with whom she shared that her mother uses physical and psychological aggression.

The police told E1.RU that they are already dealing with the situation and establishing Daniel’s whereabouts.
