Berezhnoy Writes from Colony About Nastya Muravyova Case

Five years have passed since the body of little Nastya was discovered at the Lesobaza area in Tyumen. But despite this, the man convicted of her murder still believes that he received a life sentence unfairly. Even after all this time, his relatives are fighting against the justice system and do not believe that he killed the small child. This was stated by Vitaly Berezhnoy himself in a letter to a journalist from 72.RU.

Several months ago, Maria Tokmakova wrote to the special-regime colony «Bely Lebed» (White Swan). She wanted to talk to the defendant in a high-profile case that the whole country was discussing back in 2021. The case concerns the murder of 8-year-old girl Nastya Muravyova, who was searched for by the entire city for a month and a half, with the best criminal investigators arriving. «Hello, Maria! It is not entirely clear to me why you did not write right away that you are a journalist for 72.RU. Despite the fact that I am in a special-regime colony, under strict conditions of detention, I have the opportunity to monitor the news and I closely observe the Tyumen region.

I read your article «How the Killer Was Found...» and the comments as well. Unfortunately, there is still no opportunity to meet with you in person. The conditions of my detention are strict, so per year I have one long visit with relatives and two short visits of no more than 4 hours.

My father, despite all this lawlessness, fights and continues to fight for my honest name. You can ask him the questions that interest you.
