A resident of Severodvinsk, who was found guilty of publicly justifying terrorism, tried to escape to Finland. This was reported by 29.RU from its own sources.

The Investigative Committee reported that the 31-year-old northerner publicly justified the terrorist attack that occurred in St. Petersburg in April 2023.

«The investigation and court established that the convicted person, in open access in public chats of one of the messengers, supported the ideology of terrorism, and also posted informational materials supporting and justifying the implementation of terrorist activities,» the Investigative Committee reports.

This refers to the terrorist attack in which war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky was killed.

When a criminal case was opened against the Severodvinsk resident, he attempted to go to Finland but was detained by border guards.

It is reported that the convicted person was previously charged under Part 1, Article 134 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (sexual intercourse with a person under the age of sixteen), and in 2017 and 2019 — with administrative responsibility for publishing extremist materials on the social network «VKontakte».

During the interrogation, the northerner admitted his guilt and «repented of what he had done.»

By the court«s verdict, he was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment to be served in a strict-regime colony.

Recall that in April 2023, Darya Trepova* came to an open meeting with Vladlen Tatarsky in one of St. Petersburg cafes, where fans of the war correspondent and several random visitors gathered. Towards the end of the first hour of Tatarsky«s speech, Trepova* took the microphone and, introducing herself as student Nastya from the Academy of Arts, explained that she had a gift for the war correspondent, but it was not allowed to be brought into the hall due to suspicions about a bomb. With Tatarsky»s personal permission, the statuette was brought into the hall. Soon, the «gift» exploded. As a result, the war correspondent was killed, and 52 more people were injured to varying degrees.

* Rosfinmonitoring included Darya Trepova in the list of extremists and terrorists.
