18 in Court for Illegal Migration in Saratov

A district court in Saratov will hear the case against 18 members of an organized criminal community (OCC) involved in organizing the illegal entry of migrants into the country. The regional prosecutor«s office announced this the day before.

The participants are aged 20 to 54. Depending on their role, they have been charged under paragraph «a» of Part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code (organizing illegal entry of migrants into the Russian Federation) and Parts 1 and 2 of Article 210 (creating an organized criminal community to commit several grave crimes and leading a criminal community).
According to the investigation, in August 2023, a Saratov resident organized a criminal community that included, besides himself, 17 other people. Until June 2024, they helped foreigners enter the region for money. Members of the OCC also ensured that foreigners received new migration cards, which supposedly allowed them to stay in Russia legally.
Assets of the OCC members totaling about 10 million rubles (approximately $110,000 at current rates) were seized. The indictment was approved by the first deputy prosecutor of the region, Iosif Mineev. In the case file of the Dubki settlement of the Saratov Regional Court, there is a criminal case under the same articles of the Criminal Code with 18 defendants. It was received by Judge Vyacheslav Rodionov on February 2, 2026. He scheduled a preliminary hearing for February 10, which will be closed to the press.
Criminal charges for organizing illegal entry of migrants have been brought against Ataev Abubakarsidek. Under the articles for organizing a criminal community, Nodirbek Zhabborov, Mirzhalol Rakhmatov, and Erkinchon Tagoev are named. Another 14 people are implicated in the case under the article for participation in an OCC.
