The government of Tyumen Region has completed the sale of shares in the Benat alcohol plant. The funds from the deal will go to the regional budget to finance its deficit.
The regional government«s information center confirmed: »Funds for the payment of shares in Benat JSC have been received into the regional budget and will be used to form sources for financing the regional budget deficit. The shares were transferred to the new owner in accordance with legal procedures in December 2025. There is no information on the new owner«s plans regarding the acquired shares of Benat JSC.»
The sale of the enterprise took several stages. Initially, authorities valued the asset at 455.9 million rubles (approximately $4.6 million at current rates), but it was eventually sold for 45.6 million rubles (about $456,000 at current rates). The buyer was the company Amur LLC, which is affiliated with the Moscow developer Hutton. Representatives of the new ownership did not comment on the deal.
