The authorities of the Tyumen region have finally divested themselves of the Benat alcohol plant. The shares have been transferred to a new owner, and the proceeds from the sale will be used to finance the budget deficit.
«The funds from the payment for the shares of Benat JSC have been received by the regional budget and will be directed towards forming sources of financing for the regional budget deficit. The shares were transferred to the new owner in the manner established by law in December 2025. There is no information about the new owner»s plans regarding the acquired shares of Benat JSC,« the editorial office of 72.RU was told by the information center of the Tyumen regional government.
The plant had been put up for sale several times. Initially, they had hoped to receive 455.9 million rubles (approximately $5.07 million at current rates) for it. But the final amount was 45.6 million rubles (approximately $0.51 million at current rates). The buyer was the company Amur LLC. The firm is linked to the Moscow-based developer Hutton. They did not respond to our inquiries.
Earlier we reported that in Tyumen, the Yuzhny market is set to be demolished. Entrepreneurs have been served notices.
