Siberian Trail store in Tyumen closes; mayor wore sneakers

The Siberian Trail handmade shoe store in Tyumen has closed its retail location at 58 Respubliki Street. Initially, a clearance sale was announced on all stock, and then the store«s sign also disappeared from the building»s facade.
«Our Siberian Trail store is moving to the production site — 5 Uritskogo Street,» the brand announced on social media.
We contacted the company«s director to find out the reasons behind the decision.
«The times are quite tough right now. Our goal is to survive, so we are optimizing. That»s the first point. The second is that it«s logical to have the store at the production site. It»s more convenient and reduces logistics,« Yuri Fedotov told a 72.RU journalist.
Recall that the store was nominated in our People«s Award in 2024 as one of the best. On that occasion, we even visited its production site: read about how Tyumen residents revived a Soviet-era factory.
Notably, these shoes are worn not only by ordinary Tyumen residents but also by officials. For example, the city«s mayor, Maxim Afanasyev, and Governor Alexander Moor had custom sneakers made for themselves at this production facility.
Earlier, we reported that Parfum Leader stores are closing en masse in Tyumen.
