Property seized from Orkish and daughter over unpaid taxes

The Federal Tax Service of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region filed a lawsuit to recover a tax debt of more than 23.7 million rubles (over $263,000 at current rates) from Omsk businessmen. The information appeared in the arbitration case file.

The case is linked to the operations of the Aquario water park. According to the tax service, the company«s director Alexei Yurchenko, former owner Sergei Orkish, and the organization »Yulia & Co,« which belongs to his daughter Anna Pyatkova, are jointly liable for the damages.

According to Kontur.Fokus, LLC AQUARIO has been owned by Evgeny Merkushov since July 2024. The former owner was Sergei Orkish. He had owned the company since its registration in 2015.

In 2025, the company«s revenue amounted to 193.4 million rubles (about $2.15 million at current rates), and net profit was 15.7 million rubles (about $174,000).

Tax officials audited Aquario«s financial documents and discovered that the company had transferred 68.3 million rubles (about $759,000) to LLC Yulia & Co in the pre-bankruptcy period of 2023–2024. The payments were labeled as loan repayments, but in reality, no loans existed. Because the money left the company, it was unable to pay its taxes.

The court granted the tax service«s demands. From Alexei Yurchenko, a Lexus car and over 19.5 million rubles (about $217,000) were seized; from Sergei Orkish, three residential and two non-residential premises, three land plots, and over 14.4 million rubles (about $160,000); and from Yulia & Co, the building of the children»s water park at 3 Zaveryaeva Street.

In June, demolished the «Park on Koltsevaya» (Park on the Ring Road), which belonged to the Orkish family. Part of the land on which the public area was located was seized into state ownership by court order.
