The exact opening date of the Midiynoye Mesto restaurant has been announced — the establishment will welcome its first visitors on Monday, February 9. The information appeared on the restaurant«s page on the social network VKontakte (VK). It states that the technical opening will take place at 12:00.
«Please note: tables are not reserved — free format,» the post states.
The restaurant«s website also shows menu prices. For example, mussels in sauce with French baguette and french fries will cost 930 rubles (about $10 at current rates) for a 680-gram portion. Sea urchin will be available for 390 rubles (about $4), oysters for 990 rubles (about $10) for three pieces. The menu includes shrimp, scallops, and various fish dishes. In addition to seafood delicacies, there will also be more familiar items — salads and pastas.
Midiynoye Mesto operates in 86 cities across Russia, and new locations are also opening. The restaurant«s feature is a simple and affordable street food format. This means there is no table reservation, orders are placed quickly at the counter, dishes are prepared efficiently and served in a convenient form.
The opening of Midiynoye Mesto in Omsk has been postponed several times. According to Boris Melnik, director of development for street-food restaurants, renovations were underway at the premises on Lenin Street, and the most recent delays were due to technical issues.
