OBI Stores in Yekaterinburg to Rebrand as Dom Lenta

The OBI hypermarkets located in Mega and near Karnaval will no longer exist in Yekaterinburg. The chain«s stores have changed their name — now it»s «Dom Lenta».
The press service of the retail chain reported that the stores will continue operating normally. The transition to the new brand will occur gradually in 2026.
It became known on January 12 that the chain of construction hypermarkets OBI will change its sign. «We are updating. OBI will soon become »DOM Lenta«,» states the announcement on the retailer«s official website.
Such a rebranding was expected. Back in spring 2025, information emerged that OBI could come under the control of structures of «Severgroup» owned by Alexey Mordashov, and after the deal is completed, its development could be handled by the «Severgroup»-controlled chain «Lenta». In June 2025, the Federal Antimonopoly Service approved the acquisition of the OBI chain by the little-known company «Hermes», created in March 2025 (the sole owner and director is Vladimir Zakhvatoshin).
We discussed the history of the OBI chain and its prospects after rebranding in this article.
In 2024, we wrote about the rebranding of «Leroy Merlin». It began after the former owners of «Leroy Merlin» decided to leave the Russian market and handed over management to local business. The first hypermarket was renamed in Mytishchi near Moscow.
