Moscow supplier threatens UMPO with bankruptcy

A Moscow engineering supplier has become the fifth creditor this year to threaten the Ufa defense plant ODK-UMPO with bankruptcy, following a notice on the Fedresurs portal. The company claims to have identified signs of insolvency, though the amount of debt is undisclosed.

Another creditor has threatened the Ufa aircraft enterprise ODK-UMPO (United Engine Corporation–Ufa Engine Industrial Association) with bankruptcy, according to a notice on the Fedresurs portal. This time, a major Moscow firm specializing in the supply of engineering systems allegedly saw signs of insolvency at the defense plant. The amount of the alleged debt has not been disclosed.

According to the same resource, since the beginning of 2026, five companies, including the latest, have announced their intention to file a bankruptcy petition against UMPO. This comes as the enterprise reported losses of 14 billion rubles (approximately 155 million USD at current rates) for 2025. In response to a query from UFA1.RU this spring, the UMPO press service declined to confirm that it was actually at risk of insolvency.

The new «threats» came from the Moscow-based company Prokonsim. According to its website, the company specializes in supplying equipment for housing and communal services and industrial facilities — heating, water supply, ventilation systems, and others. The firm has regularly participated in government procurement; over its entire history (it has been operating since 2002), it has been awarded tenders worth 264.1 million rubles (approximately 2.9 million USD at current rates), and through another legal entity (Prokonsim-Tender) it received another 92.6 million rubles (approximately 1.02 million USD). According to Kontur.Focus, the firm«s revenue in 2025 was 1.6 billion rubles (approximately 17.6 million USD), with net profit of 16.6 million rubles (approximately 183,000 USD). The company is owned by Moscow businessman Konstantin Albedil, who has several other organizations registered in the capital.
