One of two Milty coffee shops in Perm is closing. The chain«s founder announced this on social media.
Milty shops sell tea, coffee, matcha, smoothies, bubble tea, and lemonade. Cold drinks are often made with tapioca (starch balls derived from the roots of the tropical cassava plant — Ed. note). The menu includes mochi, a traditional Japanese dessert made from small balls of rice dough with various fillings. The founders position the project as a place where «it«s fashionable to be yourself».
The first Milty coffee shop at 34 Komsomolsky Prospekt opened in spring 2024, and the second and third at 86 Kuibysheva and 26 Lenina opened in summer 2025. The outlet at 26 Lenina closed a few months later, in November last year.
On the evening of July 20, the shop«s social media published a video with Milty founder Natalia Tikhomirova, who said that the branch at 34 Komsomolsky Prospekt is closing.
In the video, Natalia Tikhomirova does not state the reason for the closure. The project team reported that today, July 21, is the last day of operation for the cafe on Kompros (short for Komsomolsky Prospekt). The branch at 86 Kuibysheva will continue operating as usual.
Earlier, we discussed with an expert why restaurants, salons, and even pharmacies in Perm are closing more frequently than usual, and also discussed what will happen next.
