Durov announces Gram cryptocurrency wallet for Telegram
Pavel Durov announced that this summer Telegram will integrate the Gram cryptocurrency wallet, enabling over a billion users to make instant, fee-free transactions.

In the summer of 2021, a Gram cryptocurrency wallet will be integrated into every Telegram app. The announcement was made on 21 July by Pavel Durov, co-founder of the messenger. With the wallet, more than a billion users will be able to instantly send and receive cryptocurrency without fees.
According to Durov, «the large-scale adoption of a cryptocurrency wallet without key custody will be the biggest in human history.»
A cryptocurrency wallet is software or a physical device that provides an interface for accessing digital assets on a blockchain. The Gram wallet is a digital interface for storing, sending, and receiving GRAM tokens. In early June, Pavel Durov announced the renaming of TON (Telegram Open Network), the cryptocurrency created by the Telegram team, to GRAM.
