The press service of the Federal State Institution Management of Highways «North-West» (FKU Uprador «Severo-Zapad») warned on January 26 about large-scale traffic restrictions.
On Tuesday, January 27, restrictions will affect the southern and southeastern directions of the Ring Road, as well as a section of the Murmansk Highway from the ring road to Kirovsk. Traffic for trucks will be restricted, and on some stretches, it will be completely stopped.
The following sections will be under restrictions:
  • from the 94th to the 34th kilometer of the Ring Road;
  • from the 12th to the 41st kilometer of the federal highway R-21 «Kola» (Murmansk Highway).
To regulate traffic flows and monitor compliance with restrictions, patrol crews of the State Traffic Inspectorate will be deployed.
In addition, on the morning of January 27 in St. Petersburg, due to events marking the Day of the Complete Liberation of Leningrad from the Siege, Marata Street will be closed to traffic. Also, traffic difficulties are traditionally expected in the area of the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery.
