«Today, motorists are using parking space more rationally. In central districts, more free spaces have appeared, and now city residents can actually park closer to their destinations. This is especially felt by residents of the paid parking zone whose homes are located in areas with high tariffs,» stated the city transport committee.

From December 1, 29 more sections in the Central and Admiralteysky districts were included in the paid parking system. Currently, the zone covers 652 sections in four districts of the city, offering 48,656 parking spaces. The number of active parking permits by the end of 2025 reached 132,875.

Also in St. Petersburg, there are 13 city parking lots with a total capacity of 1,979 car spaces and 18 intercepting parking lots with 1,795 spaces. Last year, an intercepting parking lot near the Rybatskoye metro station and a city parking lot in Kronstadt were opened. Under a temporary scheme, a parking lot with 250 spaces near the oncology cluster in Pargolovo began operating, and in test mode, a city parking lot on Konyushennaya Square, designed for 60 cars, was launched.
