New Car Brand Jeland Introduced in Russia
Jeland brand cars will be assembled at a St. Petersburg plant purchased from Hyundai. The first batch is scheduled for production in the first half of 2026.

Cars from the Chinese brand Jaecoo will be manufactured under the new Russian brand Jeland.

AGR Holding, known for the Tenet and Solaris brands, announced the creation of a new Russian car brand, Jeland. The project is being implemented jointly with the Chinese firm Defetoo, which is affiliated with the Chery group.
The Jaecoo J8 model is based on the Chery Tiggo 9 platform, also produced in Kaluga as the Tenet T9.

The updated version of the Omoda C5 crossover is part of the production plans at the plant.

The release of the first batch of Jeland cars is scheduled for the first half of 2026. Details about the model range have not yet been disclosed.
Omoda C7 represents another potential model for production at the St. Petersburg plant.

According to available information, under the Jeland brand, Jaecoo crossovers, which are part of the Chery group, will be assembled at the plant in Shushary. The models in question are:
- Jaecoo J6
- Jaecoo J7
- Jaecoo J8
In parallel, at the same enterprise, they plan to establish production of Omoda cars under the Onives brand. Moreover, the production of the C5 crossover will be moved from the Kaliningrad Avtotor to Shushary, and in the future, the C7 model may be added.
AGR Holding purchased the plant in Shushary from Hyundai. This enterprise was originally built by General Motors, but it has not been operational since 2015. Hyundai bought the plant to produce Tucson and Sportage crossovers, but did not manage to launch it before 2022.
This plant should not be confused with another St. Petersburg Hyundai enterprise in Kamenka, where Solaris cars were previously produced.
AGR Holding is gradually consolidating production capacities and strengthening its partnership with Chery, although official connections between the companies are not confirmed. Previously, Jaecoo crossovers were tested at the plant in Kamenka, but after the cessation of cooperation with Hyundai, the possibility of involving the company GAC is being considered.
