Film Shoot to Block St. Petersburg City Center

In the first week of February, traffic restrictions will be imposed in central St. Petersburg for film shoots. The crew of the historical drama «On the Edge of Childhood» about the Siege of Leningrad will be working there.

Road closures are scheduled along the Griboyedov Canal and nearby lanes.

Restrictions for the filming process are scheduled for three days — February 6, 7 and 8, according to the St. Petersburg Transport Committee. The changes will affect both traffic and parking.

Parking restrictions apply to the same streets and additional adjacent lanes.

Traffic will be blocked on the following sections:

from 7:00 PM February 6 to 6:59 PM February 7 and from 9:00 PM February 7 to 8:59 PM February 8 — on the even side of the Griboyedov Canal Embankment from Mucheny Lane to building 30–32, and also in Bankovsky Lane from the same building to the embankment.
from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM February 7 (with interruptions, no more than 10 minutes per hour) — on 8th Sovetskaya Street from Degtyarnaya Street to building 34.
from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM February 7 and from 10:00 AM to 8:59 PM February 8 (also no more than 10 minutes per hour) — on the odd side of the Griboyedov Canal Embankment from building 31 to building 41.

At the same time, a parking ban will be imposed:

from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM February 6 and from 12:00 AM to 7:00 PM February 7 — on the even side of the Griboyedov Canal Embankment (from Mucheny Lane to building 30–32), the odd side of Moskatelny Lane (up to building 4 on Mucheny Lane), and in Bankovsky Lane.
from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM February 6 and from 12:00 AM to 6:00 PM February 7 — on the odd side of 8th Sovetskaya Street from Degtyarnaya Street to building 33.
from 12:00 AM to 6:59 PM February 7 and from 12:00 AM to 6:59 PM February 8 — on the odd side of the Griboyedov Canal Embankment from building 31 to building 41.

The film «On the Edge of Childhood» tells the story of a 14-year-old Leningrad girl left during the siege with her younger sister. The heroine tries to get a job as a postman to obtain food, and to do so she must deliver letters to five addresses in conditions of hunger and cold. The film is being produced by Lenfilm Studio. The directorial debut of Vladimir Zakharenko is planned for release in 2027.
